Magoye MP Commissions Two Key CDF Projects

Member of Parliament for Magoye Constituency, Hon. Mweemba Malambo, officially commissioned two infrastructure projects funded under the 2024 Constituency Development Fund (CDF), on Monday, 7th April, 2025. The projects include a 1x2 classroom block at Naleza Primary School and a staff house at Nziba Primary School.

Speaking during the commissioning ceremony, Hon. Malambo said the projects represent the impact of community driven development made possible through the CDF initiative. He said that the Government remains committed to improving the quality of life of its citizens through participatory governance and community engagement.

 “These projects are a testament to what we can achieve when communities are involved in identifying their own priorities. Civic leadership remains committed to addressing community challenges by facilitating such people-centred initiatives,” he said.

 Speaking at the same event, Mazabuka Mayor, Vincent Lilanda encouraged local residents to participate more actively in the selection and implementation of CDF projects. He noted that sustained community involvement is vital to the success and longevity of development progrmmes.

Mazabuka District Commissioner, Oliver Mulomba commended the progress being made in the education sector. He stressed the need for transparent and accountable use of CDF resources to ensure continued growth and impact.

Meanwhile, Mazabuka District Education Board Secretary, Ms. Christetah Mulinga Mwale welcomed the new classroom block at Naleza Primary School. She said that the facility would greatly enhance the learning environment and help improve the quality of education for pupils.
